Fareham & DARC was founded over 40 years ago, to pursue the technical exploration and development of amateur radio by a sharing of knowledge among its members.
We always welcome new members, and anyone who has an interest in amateur radio.

Members of the Fareham Radio club visite HM Coastguard helicopter base at HMS Daedalus.

This year our club project is a single valve radio. You can create your own or follow this link to a
regenerative receiver using a 12AU7 or ECC82 twin triode that works very well.

The club meets every Wednesday evening from 19:30 at the Fareham Sailing and Motor Boat Club.

Meetings include

  • Quiz evenings.

  • Junk sales.

  • RSGB Foundation course.

  • Guest speakers.

  • Participating in various contests.

  • Supporting local community events.

  • Not forgetting the annual club project! See some of our previous projects.

Club radio nets:

  • On 2 metres (normally 145.475MHz) every Tuesday from 20:00 local time.

  • On HF somewhere around 1964kHz (depending on the QRM) every Thursday from 19:30 local time.

The club is affiliated to the RSGB and holds the callsigns G3VEF and GB4HMS.
